My name is Melinda.
Here are a few things I know to be true...

We should never take anything for granted.
It can be gone in a second.
Hold your loved ones close every chance you get.

Everything has a season.
The good. The bad. The easy. The difficult.
Whatever season you are in, it too shall pass.

We are often broken and yet healed within relationships.
We need each other.

Every person has a story.- tragic and beautiful.
Powerful, broken, and strong.
Every story holds value and a lesson.

We are wise to not expect from others what only God can provide.

Faith. Family. Friendships. Fellowship.
This is what I'm about. Who I am.

I invite you to my journey as a way of
exploring your own.

You can love me or hate me but my prayer is always the same:
that, ultimately, I draw you closer to God's love,
and that you become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, and more able to lead yourself and others* as a result of engaging with me online or in real life.

Sweet Friend - you and your story are welcome with me.

A Little About Me...

I grew up in Central Oregon and still find peace, calm, and solace in the wild beauty of trees, mountains, and lakes... My family was a family of hospitality. We had a revolving door of neighbors, family, friends, new and old, that dropped by for a cup of coffee or perhaps conveniently before dinner.

I was always fascinated with their stories of life - challenges, obstacles, celebrations, and adventures.

I began my professional career in the publishing industry and quickly found a mentor who invested time in my professional, relational, and leadership skills. Because of her, I discovered a passion to empower others with the knowledge I had gained.

Even as I transitioned to working from home to be with my sons, I involved myself in organizations where I could develop better skills while empowering and investing in other people and their stories the way someone invested in mine.

We all need someone to believe in us.

Raising my three sons was both mind-boggling at times yet incredibly rewarding at other times and I wouldn't have traded it for anything. They taught me far more about life, love, and family than I could have ever taught them.  I couldn't be prouder of my boys and my adorable daughter-in-law.

With my boys grown, I've turned my attention more fully back to my professional life, my passion projects, and have fallen in love with trauma-informed practices which drive me to ask deeper questions, gain fuller perspectives about my story and the stories of others...

Thank you for joining my journey... This is where our stories converge.
